This past week, I prepared to give a ten to thirteen minute speech in class over my original work, reflections, and my mentorship experiences. At the end of the speech, after receiving feedback, I felt very confident in my abilities. My main goal last week was to be able to give a speech that checked all the criteria needed as well as schedule my mentor meeting. Today I was able to meet with my mentor officially for the final product. We were able to make a finalized proposal, and I was given the opportunity to do some work in his lab with a graduate student. I was able to edit my proposal with my mentor which was very helpful because it allowed him to put in his input as well. At the end of the mentor meeting, I was very satisfied with what my mentor and I had been able to accomplish in one meeting.
For this coming week, I hope to finish my annotated final product bibliography. This should not be too difficult because there is so much I can still learn about my field of study specific to my final product. I also hope to finish drafting my final presentation night invitation cards so that I can get them approved as well as begin delivering and sending them to people.
