Original Work Deadline

This past week and weekend I was able to log more hours for my original work. This week I plan on starting and finishing my report based on the case study that I got from my mentor. I was also able to do a self-evaluation based on my research speech that I gave a couple of weeks. It was a really nice change of pace because I was able to share my opinion on the ISM program and all that I have achieved so far.

For my original work I researched Kv1.1 ion channels in the brain and how it can also be found in the heart. I came up with how I wanted to present my research; my plan is to present the brain scans and my prediction for what type of epilepsy the mouse has.

Now that I have a clear path for my original work I don’t feel overwhelmed anymore. I noticed that I have gotten better with my time management and even with a big workload I know how to handle my stress. As the semester progresses and more assignments come my way, I feel like I will be able to navigate my way through tough situations.
