This past week, in class, we submitted our final product proposal and were able to begin to envision what we wanted as our end product. Mine was fairly easy to come up with and write since it mainly is based on research that is done in my mentors lab which will allow for my final product to be a self report which includes data and a presentation of what I accomplished and learned.
This week I hope to finish drafting and writing my entire speech that will be presented in class next week. This will be extremely helpful because it will be added to my final presentation speech which will allow for the majority of the speech to be written beforehand. The main thing I need to focus on is my timing because I tend to talk faster when I present, however, if I slowed down even a little bit I could meet my time requirement. This week another goal of mine is to do some research into what I need to learn before I can meet with my mentor. This way I will be better prepared to work in the lab and have pre-existing knowledge. Next week I hope to give my speech in class and succeed in terms of my goals.
