This past week, I got my original work proposal rejected again, however, from this I gained a better idea that got approved. This week I plan to rewrite my original work proposal according to my new project. My new idea has made me realize that all the smaller components are easy to do but bringing it together is the challenge.
Additionally, this past week I wrote two research assessments that both had articles related to mouse models that are used by scientists. This weekend I planned out my upcoming week and realized that my biggest task that I have to conquer is my research speech. I have written my script and I have to work on memorizing it and making a multimedia presentation in addition to my speech.
My original work will become a little bit easier after the bulk of research is done. However, I won’t be able to do much for my project this week, so I plan to make it up by working on it during Thanksgiving break. I also look forward to my follow up meeting with the professional so that I can have my mentor solidified before break.
This week I have to do a research assessment and found it easier to do it Friday night so that I can focus more on my research speech and other homework. I hope that this week I can do well on my speech and get over an obstacle to reach the end of the week. By having the draft of my speech done earlier, I can focus on memorizing it.
