This past week I conducted my third interview and learned about how neurology is involved in a professor’s career. This week I need to write my third interview assessment and my fifth research assessment. Last friday I wrote my original work proposal which I found very easy to navigate and write. However, after thinking about my proposal I want to tweak it and change parts of it to make it more interesting to me. I have also started gathering articles from scholarly sources so that I can read it and make it my first step towards my original work. I also hope that by the end of this week I will have read the articles and gathered some data.

What I have recently noticed is that I have more assignments due every week that take up more of my time. Most of the time if I have two assignments due, I finish the first one at the beginning of the week, however, the second one I always end up doing Friday night. It has become clear to me that this is not a good choice since my quality of work will not be as good compared to other assessments I did ahead of time. To plan my time better I will set concrete goals of small things I need to do each day on a calendar so that I can see what I need to do every day. Hopefully, this will help me manage my time effectively so that I can finish any assessments and work on my original work to make sure it is finished by the deadline.
