This past week I mainly worked on doing more research on the HCN4 antibody as well as how antibodies are developed for research purposes such as extracting them from a mouse and injecting them into another animal. I was able to look ahead at the calendar and see that we have to give our final presentation speech and email them to our mentor in around a month. Seeing this made me very stressed since it is right before AP exams and there will be a lot to do. Even now, I am still trying to adjust to the workload from online school, even though it is the fourth week, it has still been difficult to stick to the schedule I make since I am home.
Having a final presentation a month away from now seems very scary and stressful mainly because we have to do it in a nontraditional way with restrictions. Not being able to work with my mentor since they do not have access to the lab has proven it to be hard to work with what I have. I had to adapt to the new circumstances and realize that the best way for me to move forward would be to do a data analysis and case study. For this upcoming week I hope to finish my final presentation overview and finish up my product by the end of this month so that I have ample time to draft, practice, and present my speech.
